With a variety of flavorful and nutritious menu choices available year-round at each of our 19 communities’ full-service restaurants, indulging in the occasional sweet extravagance is a must. Our monthly interactive Let’s Dish cooking sessions give residents the opportunity to speak directly with the Executive Chef, sample new dishes, learn new skills, or expand on their existing cooking knowledge. And learn how to perfect their new favorite sweet treat.

Community Life | Cinco De Mayo

Who doesn’t love Cinco de Mayo? It is the perfect opportunity to learn about and celebrate the rich culture of our neighbor to the south. Nothing like mariachis and margaritas to create a festive mood – one of the countless ways residents gather, swap stories, and strengthen bonds. Events like this are frequent for residents; if there is a reason to celebrate, we’ll find it, and give you a chance to celebrate without having to do the cooking or cleanup!

Our Zest wellness program encourages residents to try new things when it comes to their health and fitness goals, like the Tour de Zest! A spin-off of the “Tour De France,” where residents compete in a community-wide cycling challenge to generate the highest biking mileage totals. Tour de Zest is just one of the countless activities in our Zest Wellness program that can be tailored and modified to fit any age and fitness level.

At SRG, staying active and healthy is a top priority. In group fitness classes through our Zest Wellness program, we inspire one another to keep moving, try new things, and challenge ourselves no matter your age. Like our Tour de Zest cycling event, inspired by Tour de France, residents competed against their fellow SRG communities in a high-energy, spin class setting to see which team could generate the highest biking mileage totals. And with many participants 100+ years old, it just goes to show that age really is just a number!
