Vibrant senior community. Lots of active options and beautiful outdoor areas. Rooms are clean and light. Staff is friendly and connecting. The food options looked healthy and carried. The interior common areas are darker that I like, I’d like it if the common area carpet was newer and lighter colored. Overall seems like a great option for active seniors!

We liked that LVDM was established and had the “co-mingle” philosophy. Laurie and I had never heard of that before. We liked the size and that people knew each other’s name. Elona, our dog, would be welcome. There wasn’t a “buy-in.” Starting the day with a beach visit was superb. Amazing that the head cook had been there for 30 years and that there was little turnover throughtout. We liked how a wall could be removed to enlarge the den or one bedroom. Friendliness of the residents. Daily PT. The decorating of the entranceway of apartments. Transportation to appointments and events. Residents being able to stay in their “home” base even when their needs changed. Spouses/partners stayed together with extra supports if needed. Adrienne was the most informative, real and down to earth. She toook her time with us. Laurie and I liked eating on our own so we could rehash our visit. Lunch was delicious. We ordered meals we usually don’t eat. The head of dining was excellent. We have visited several senior communities and La Vida Del Mar rates the highest. We are not ready to make the “senior” move but we feel a sense of relief that we have a place where we could see ourselves retiring. We also feel comfortable spreading the word about this senior living community. Also that friends and family are welcome to visit and spend the night. La Vida Del Mar has offered me the joy of living independently, thanks to the warmth and support of every staff member with whom I’ve interacted. I’ve been extremely impressed with the personalized service, attention to individual interests, as well as organized programs and events. All in all, my transition to becoming a member of a senior retirement community has been less challenging because of the thoughtful introduction and welcoming process established at La Vida —-truly a beautiful place to call home!

Beautiful setting- I met with a very welcoming staff, had all my questions answered and had a tour of the facility. I was introduced to residents and had the opportunity to hear their experiences of living there. The longevity of staff is very impressive!

I love living at la vida Del Mar . The staff always treat me with respect and kindness. They also take wonderful care of my dog. I appreciate everyone that workers here at la vida Del Mar .

My wife and I moved to La Vida Del Mar in April 2023. We have enjoyed living here. The accommodations are four star hotel, and the food provided by the restaurant is excellent. There are many activities scheduled on a daily basis and we have found several of them to our liking and participate. I highly recommend anyone looking for a retirement community to join to come and see us.
